...I said, hey, HEY, I know that painting! I love that painting. I have seen that painting many, many times before, here:
This photo was in Martha Stewart Living (not gonna link; you know where to find her) at some point, and it's also featured in the M's book How to Decorate, which I have paged through so many times...let's just say I could recite passages from memory upon request should you stop by. And I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've scrutinized each item in Anita Calero's home. Gosh, that sounds creepy. But I have, I just love it so much. So, yeah, the painting was over the bed! Here's the bed now:
I get such a kick out of this! (I know, geek.)Wait, that room that has the painting in it now? Here it is then:
Dying here over the floor.Kitchen and adjacent area then:

And, AND there are even more photos of this amazing home in Domino, and more in the book, too, just so you don't think I gave everything away. Both are worth a closer look, should you feel the need to scrutinize every detail for years to come, and the photos in Domino are by Ms. Calero. Here's one more (not from either publication), the lovely Ms. Calero herself:

Anita Calero is my best friend was so honored to see that you all love her home. She is too emabarressed to write you herself, but says come over anytime!
How does one get to be someone whose home is pictured in multiple magazines at multiple points in time with multiple arrangements of art and furniture? I'm in awe—of the two of you. You, Carlene, are an absolute hoot.
Peggy! How sweet of you to let me know!
And Christopher, I have no idea.
:)
Hello,
I am on set with Anita everyday. I will tell you how lucky one feels to work closely with such a talented and unique person.
Anita instills beauty into everything she touches, effortlessly.
She has been inspiring us everyday, and it's great to meet people that feel the same.
Oh man - I had to wait for a flying visit home to the city to check out this post - I'm on dial-up in the country and it's killing me!
Love these images - I think the first one is my favourite - I love that plant.
I don't think we get Domino mag here - at least not at the newsagency - I'll have to try Borders Bookshop.
OMG, thank you! I had never seen the earlier spreads on A. Calero's interiors, but I have been a fan of her style since the domino spread in spring.
Me too via hoping for happy accidents. What an addition to my view on things. Thanks!
