From Sunset Magazine, April 2007The gorgeous living room you see above is in the Sausalito, CA, home of Catherine Bailey and Robin Petravic. The couple are designers and, since 2003, owners of Heath Ceramics. You can read the story of how they acquired Heath, plus see the rest of their beautiful, newly renovated cottage, in the magazine or on Sunset's website.
Heath Ceramics Coupe tableware
Heath's website also features glass, flatware, linens, candles, and items for the kitchen and for entertaining. I'm especially coveting this amazing maple cutting board, crafted by master woodworker and designer, Edward Wohl in Ridgeway, Wisconsin.
For those of you who can't get enough of Heath's hand-crafted, simple designs, and that group would include me, you might also check out Heath Ceramics: The Complexity of Simplicity by Amos Klausner, a book documenting the history and legacy of the company. You can also download a PDF of Heath's insanely beautiful catalog here.Have a lovely weekend everyone.

thanks for posting this! i'm a huge fan of heath (just registered there for my wedding) and would love to see where the current owners live.
Dang, that sure it nice stuff. Is it just coincidence that the dishes were featured in that mag just after we were discussing dishes, or were they already on your mind when I brought up grandma's ugly ironstone?
Coincidence...I just bought that magazine yesterday.
glad to see heath getting some more recognition. my husband and i registered for dishes from heath. we couldn't decide on one color, so we now have a big hodgepodge. they're great!
the pig pillow on the couch in the livingroom photo can be found on my website www.heidimatic.com
Kelly, I actually thought of you when I posted this; I thought you would enjoy their home.
Oh my gosh, Heidi! The stacked goat pillow is yours—I love that image! And, as if that isn' cool enough...Squirrels, too!!
That is just so Californian - I used to live in SF and just lusted after a cottage in Sausalito - beautiful craft!
